Become healthier, more energetic, and lose weight.

If your BMI is 18.5 to 24.9, it falls within the normal healthy weight range.

If your BMI is 25.0 to 29.9, it falls within the overweight range.

A LITTLE BIT ABOUT ME…

I used to be the pinnacle of health. I weighed 58 kilograms (120 pounds), worked out regularly, had a healthy athletic body, plenty of energy, and a fulfilling lifestyle. Despite this, my life drastically worsened when I fell ill.

For no apparent reason, I dropped 12 kilos (31 pounds) within a few months. My once well-trained triceps hung like flabby sleeves, my back muscles were replaced by protruding bones, and I looked like a walking skeleton. It was scary!

I was diagnosed with a thyroid condition called hyperthyroidism, and before I had time to think about it, I was been rolled into the operating room and had my entire thyroid surgically removed (thyroidectomy)
.
Hyperthyroidism is the production of too much thyroxine hormone, which increases the body’s metabolism.
If hyperthyroidism isn't treated, it can cause some serious health problems, including irregular heartbeat, which can lead to blood clots, stroke, heart failure, and other heart problems, as well as an eye disease called Graves' ophthalmopathy, causes double vision, light sensitivity, and eye pain.

Having my thyroid gland removed changed my condition from hyperthyroidism to hypothyroidism.

Within months of the thyroid surgery, I started experiencing an avalanche of strange symptoms and allergies, which kept sending me back to different medical specialists and hospital wards.

Eventually, I was diagnosed with yet a new condition Carpa (a rare pseudoallergy), and a couple of years after, breast and skin cancer, and last year but not least, Covid.

Spending years in and out of hospitals, plus experiencing devastating symptoms, fighting fatigue, and undergoing horrific medical procedures, I often felt like it was the end of my journey in this world.

Between the thyroid hormone treatments, antihormonal treatments for breast cancer, devastating symptoms, and allergies, I lost all my energy and became chronically fatigued.

My weight started to increase significantly for the first time in my life.

I became tired of feeling sick and tired, so I started paying attention to my body and mind. I changed my habits and how I eat, and although I still have a long way to go, I am healthier.

I am on a journey to feel and get better.

Weight care is personal; it's not a one-size-fits-all deal.

It has not always been my choice to take the lead, but somehow I end up in the driver's seat most of the time. When you're good at day-to-day responsibility and effectively handle the tasks required to run your life at home and work, like it or not, you are in charge!

For instance, you stay up-to-date on bill paying, errands, and other household chores to keep your home and family’s life running smoothly.

At work, you develop reliable systems for organizing projects, dealing with clients, phone calls, and emails, maintaining critical records, and updating your computer skills.

Day-to-day responsibility, while certainly not glamorous, enables you to carry out crucial activities in each arena of your life. This ability is essential to success and a constant source of invisible stress.

For a long time, I was unaware of this invisible stress and how it was affecting my health.

A healthy lifestyle includes knowledge of nutrition, exercise, motivation, and a positive attitude.
